Global Privacy Laws Map 2026

The Vault JS legal library holds data protection laws for 173 countries and territories outside the United States. 30 EU and EEA countries fall under the GDPR and the ePrivacy cookie rules, 127 other countries and territories have a national law in effect, and 16 have enacted a law whose start date we have not confirmed. Most require consent before non-essential cookies and trackers run.
