Vault JS monitors and analyzes website code for security and privacy violations. We are a work hard, play hard startup collaborating with established Fortune 500 companies. This isn’t our team’s first rodeo. Our previous startup grew to 300 employees and 100M+ in funding.
We need your help! We are looking for a talented and versatile UI/UX Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for creating engaging and effective user interfaces and experiences. You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure our website and applications are visually appealing, user-friendly, and functionally robust.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using tools like Sketch, Figma, Balsamiq, or Adobe XD
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
- Implement designs in code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure design consistency and usability
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies
- Continuously improve the user experience based on user feedback and analytics
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure designs are responsive and optimized for various devices and screen sizes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or Developer with a strong portfolio of design projects
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Balsamiq or similar
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with front-end frameworks.
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; an expert eye for visual hierarchy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Curiosity and willingness to think beyond just the surface of a problem
- Ability to “manage up”
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Experience with usability testing tools like UserTesting or Lookback
You’ll work directly with the executive team every day, but don’t worry, you can do it from home – we are 100% remote.
